Lothar Klingberg

Lothar Klingberg (born January 11, 1926 in Rosenberg / Upper Silesia, † July 8, 1999 in Brandenburg an der Havel ) was a German pedagogue and didactic .

Life

Klingberg began training in 1940 at the Brunneck teacher training college , then in Patschkau , Neisse and Beuthen , joined the Waffen SS in 1945 and was taken prisoner after fighting. In 1945 he became a new teacher in Otterwisch and from 1948 to 1951 studied history, philosophy, pedagogy and music as a primary school teacher at the KMU Leipzig , with Hans Mayer and Ernst Bloch , among others . He continued studying as an assistant and aspirant. He defended his dissertation, which he wrote under Hugo Müller, under the title Structural Problems of the Lesson , in 1956 at the Karl Marx University in Leipzig, followed by his habilitation in 1962. In 1964 he was appointed professor in Leipzig, in 1965 he was offered a chair for systematic pedagogy and general didactics at the “Karl Liebknecht” college of education in Potsdam and taught until 1980 when he was disabled. He continued to research there until the end of his life.

Klingberg wrote the Dialectical Didactics , which in the GDR analyzed the relationship between material, teachers and learners in a new way. As a result, the dominance of the given GDR curriculum was in question. He considers children capable of actively shaping the upbringing process as ?? self-education ?? and ?? self-education ??. In its ?? However, as an introduction to general didactics , he also explains his closeness to the socialist image of man

Klingberg was a member of the GDR's Central Pedagogy Commission. In 1962 he received the Dr. Theodor Neubauer Medal (bronze) and later the Pestalozzi Medal (bronze).
