Louis Joseph Lahure (born December 29, 1767 in Mons , Austrian Netherlands , † October 24, 1853 in Wavrechain-sous-Faulx ) was a French Général de division of Belgian origin.

Lahure was the son of Nicolas Lahure and his wife Marie-Thérèse du Buisson. After attending school in his hometown, he studied at the University of Leuven . He was inspired by the Brabant Revolution (→ French Revolution ) in 1789 and joined the army.

Lahure was instrumental in handing over the Dutch fleet in 1795 . The following year he took part in Napoleon's Italian campaign. He led his own command under General Jean-Baptiste Kléber and fought at the Valvasone (March 16, 1797). Under General Jacques MacDonald he was also able to distinguish himself at the Trebbia (June 17/19, 1799).

On December 20, 1800, he married Anne de Warenghien de Flory. With her he had three daughters and four sons. With effect from December 27, 1814, Lahure became a French citizen.

After the Battle of Waterloo (June 18, 1815), Lahure left the army and retired to his castle in Wavrechain-sous-Faulx. In August 1830 it was reactivated again until March 1831. He died in Wavrechain a few weeks before his 86th birthday on October 24, 1853.
