Wavrechain-sous-Faulx is a commune in the French department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the canton of Denain (until 2015 canton Bouchain ) in the arrondissement of Valenciennes . It borders on Marquette-en-Ostrevant to the north, Bouchain to the east, Paillencourt to the south and Wasnes-au-Bac to the west . The Canal de la Sensée , a shipping canal, passes the municipality mark in the south.
