Flines-lès-Mortagne (also: Flines-lez-Mortagne ) is a French municipality with 1646 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the region of Hauts-de-France in the department of Nord . Administratively, the municipality is assigned to the arrondissement of Valenciennes and is part of the canton of Saint-Amand-les-Eaux (until 2015: canton of Saint-Amand-les-Eaux-Rive droite ). The inhabitants are called Flinois .

Flines-lès-Mortagne is located in French Flanders on the Belgian border and the Scheldt , 16 km north-north-west of Valenciennes .
Flines-lés-Mortagne belongs to the Scarpe-Schelde Regional Nature Park (French: Parc naturel régional Scarpe-Escaut ) and is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Antoing (Belgium) in the north, Hainaut (Belgium) in the east, Hergnies in the southeast, Bruille-Saint -Amand in the south and south-east, Château-l'Abbaye in the south, Mortagne-du-Nord in the south-west and Brunehaut in the west.
