Aulnoy-lez-Valenciennes is located in northern France on the Rhonelle . Aulnoy-lez-Valenciennes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Marly in the north, Saultain in the east, Préseau in the south-east, Artres and Famars in the south, Trith-Saint-Léger in the west and Valenciennes in the north-west.
Autoroute A2 runs along the north-western edge of the municipality .
