Lecelles is a French commune with a population of 2,810 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . Administratively, the municipality is assigned to the arrondissement of Valenciennes ; it belongs to the canton of Saint-Amand-les-Eaux (until 2015: canton of Saint-Amand-les-Eaux-Rive gauche ). The inhabitants are called Lecellois .

Lecelles is located in French Flanders on the Belgian border. The small river Elnon flows through the municipality . Lecelles is surrounded by the neighboring communities Brunehaut (Belgium) in the north, Maulde in the northeast, Thun-Saint-Amand in the east and northeast, Nivelle in the east, Saint-Amand-les-Eaux in the south, Rosult in the southwest, Saméon in the west and Rumegies in the Northeast.
