Odomez is a French municipality with 936 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . Odomez belongs to the arrondissement of Valenciennes and the canton of Marly (until 2015: canton of Condé-sur-l'Escaut ).

geography

Odomez is located in the Regional Nature Park Scarpe-Schelde (French: Parc naturel régional Scarpe-Escaut ) on the canalized Scheldt near the border with Belgium . Odomez is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Hergnies in the north and north-west, Vieux-Condé in the east and north-east, Fresnes-sur-Escaut in the east and south-east, Escautpont in the south and south-east and Bruille-Saint-Amand in the west and north-west.
