Quiévrechain is a French municipality with 6366 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the canton of Marly (until 2015 canton of Valenciennes-Est ) in the arrondissement Valenciennes and is a member of the communauté d'agglomération Valenciennes Métropole .

geography

Quiévrechain is located directly on the Belgian border on the Aunelle river , about 15 kilometers northeast of Valenciennes . Quiévrechain is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Crespin in the north, Quiévrain (Belgium) in the east, Honnelles in the southeast, Rombies-et-Marchipont in the south and Quarouble in the west.

The community is located in the Regional Nature Park Scarpe-Schelde .
