It belongs to the canton of Marly (until 2015: canton of Valenciennes-Est ) in the arrondissement of Valenciennes and is a member of the Communauté d'agglomération Valenciennes Métropole . The inhabitants are called Présellois .

geography

Préseau is located near the Belgian border, about six kilometers southeast of Valenciennes . Préseau is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saultain in the north, Curgies in the northeast, Villers-Pol in the east and southeast, Maresches in the south, Artres in the west and southwest and Aulnoy-lez-Valenciennes in the west and northwest.
