Maulde is a French commune with 1,026 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the region of Hauts-de-France in the department of Nord . Administratively, the municipality is assigned to the arrondissement of Valenciennes and is part of the canton of Saint-Amand-les-Eaux (until 2015: canton of Saint-Amand-les-Eaux-Rive gauche ).

Maulde is located in French Flanders on the Belgian border and the Scheldt , 17 km north-northwest of Valenciennes .

Maulde is part of the Scarpe-Schelde Regional Nature Park (French: Parc naturel régional Scarpe-Escaut ) and is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Brunehaut (Belgium) in the north, Mortagne-du-Nord in the east, Thun-Saint-Amand in the southeast and Lecelles in the South and west.
