Rosult is a French commune with a population of 1,911 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . Administratively, the municipality is assigned to the arrondissement of Valenciennes ; it belongs to the canton of Saint-Amand-les-Eaux (until 2015: canton of Saint-Amand-les-Eaux-Rive gauche ).

Rosult is located in French Flanders near the Belgian border about 15 kilometers northwest of Valenciennes . Rosult is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saméon in the north and northwest, Lecelles in the north and northeast, Saint-Amand-les-Eaux in the east, Millonfosse in the southeast, Bousignies in the south, Brillon in the southwest, Sars-et-Rosières in the west and Landas in the West and northwest.

The A23 autoroute runs through the municipality .
