Oisy is a French municipality with 614 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the community association Valenciennes Métropole , for Arrondissement Valenciennes and is part of the Canton of Aulnoy-lez-Valenciennes (2015: Canton Valenciennes-Sud ).
geography
Oisy is about five kilometers west of Valenciennes . Oisy is surrounded by the neighboring communities Bellaing in the north, Hérin in the east, Wavrechain-sous-Denain in the south and south-west, Denain in the south-west and Haveluy in the west.
