Lieu-Saint-Amand is a commune in the French department of Nord in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the canton of Denain (until 2015 Bouchain ) in the arrondissement of Valenciennes . It is bordered by Bouchain to the north-west, Neuville-sur-Escaut to the north, Noyelles-sur-Selle to the east, Avesnes-le-Sec to the south-east and Hordain to the south-west . The residents call themselves Lieu Saint-Amandinois .
