Hydrology
The southern slope drains into the Velka Mumlava , the left source stream of the Mumlava ( Mummel ). On the northern slope is an extensive peat bog called Hala Szrenicka (German border meadow ). The Zackel (alternatively Zackerle , Polish: Kamieńczyk ), a tributary of the Zacken (Polish: Kamienna ), rises here at an altitude of 1260 m above sea level .
vegetation
The peak lies above the tree line and is covered with granite lumps, which is also expressed in the Polish name - Kamiennik means roughly "the stony one". Mountain pines and bristle grass grow between the debris overgrown with lichen . In the lower elevations there is a mountain conifer forest , which mainly consists of spruce. The flora of the "Grenzwiese" corresponds to the plant community of sedges and rushes typical of a moorland .
Tourism and nature protection
The New Silesian Baude ( Schronisko na Hali Szrenickiej ) is located in the middle of this wetland below the frost carrier cone at an altitude of about 1200 m. It can be reached on foot from Schreiberhau via a red marked path, past the Zackelfall ( Wodospad Kamieńczyka ) and the Zackelfallbaude ( Kamieńczyk Hut ). The Luboch lies in the area of the Karkonoski Park Narodowy (KPN) in Poland and in the Czech Republic in the Krkonošský národní park (KRNAP). Therefore, the summit is not accessible because the paved paths must not be left.
