Luca Ansoldi (born January 5, 1982 in Merano ) is an Italian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HC Merano again in Serie B since 2016 .

Career

Luca Ansoldi began his career as an ice hockey player with AHC Latsch Vinschgau , for which he made his A2 series debut in the 1998/99 season. He then moved to HC Meran , for which he was under contract in the A1 series for the next five years . In the summer of 2004, the attacker moved to Ritten Sport , with whom he was Italian runner-up in the 2005/06 season. He then moved to their league rivals SG Cortina , with whom he was Italian champion for the first time in his career in 2007 . After the success, the right-handed shooter left the club and signed with HC Bozen , with whom he won the Supercoppa Italiana in 2007 and 2008, the Italian championship in 2008 and 2009, the exhibition cup in 2008 and the Coppa Italia in 2009 .

From the 2009/10 season he played again for Ritten Sport . In summer 2011 he made use of his release clause and moved to Hockey Milano Rossoblu in the second Italian division. There he was assistant captain for two seasons and rose to the top league with the Milanese as champions of the A2 series in 2012. In the summer of 2013 Ansoldi returned to Ritten Sport again and won the Italian championship with the club in 2014 and 2016 and cup winners in 2014 and 2015. 2016 he moved to the HC Meran back, which is now in the second-rate Series B plays.

International

For Italy , Ansoldi took part in the U18 Junior B World Championships in 1999 and 2000 , as well as the U20 Junior World Championships in Division I in 2001 and 2002 . He was also in Italy's squad at the World Championships in Division I in 2005 , 2009 and 2011 and in the top division in 2006 , 2007 , 2008 , 2010 and 2012 . He also represented his colors at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin and the qualifying tournament for the 2010 Vancouver Games .
