Luca De Aliprandini (born September 1, 1990 in Cles ) is an Italian ski racer . His strongest discipline is the giant slalom .
biography
De Aliprandini comes from Tuenno , attended the sports high school in Mals and belongs to the sports promotion group of the Guardia di Finanza ( Gruppi Sportivi Fiamme Gialle ). He took part in FIS races for the first time in winter 2005/2006 and achieved a total of three second places at Italian junior championships in 2007 and 2008. After his inclusion in the squad of the Italian Winter Sports Federation, the first starts in the European Cup followed in the 2008/09 season . At Junior World Championships , in which De Aliprandini participated from 2008 to 2010, he was twice in the top ten: in 2009 he was sixth in giant slalom and in 2010 tenth in slalom.
In the 2011/12 season De Aliprandini managed to catch up with the top in the European Cup. In his strongest discipline, giant slalom, he made it onto the podium three times, making him third in the discipline and seventh in the overall European Cup. In the same winter he came to his first appearances in the World Cup , in which he remained without points. De Aliprandini won his first World Cup points on December 16, 2012 when he came eleventh in the giant slalom on the Gran Risa in Alta Badia . He achieved his first European Cup victory on March 3, 2013 at the giant slalom in Soldeu .
He achieved his best World Cup result so far on January 9, 2018 with fourth place in the giant slalom in Adelboden .
