Luca Marin (born April 9, 1986 in Vittoria , Ragusa province ) is an Italian swimmer .
Career
Marin's specialty, in which he has won five silver medals at European and World Championships, is the 400 m medley swimming. At the European Short Course Championships in 2006 he won the gold medal against world record holder László Cseh . He took for Italy in this discipline three times in the Olympics and took part while in 2004 the tenth, in Athens in 2008 the fifth and in Beijing in 2012 in London the eighth.
Marin was initially in a relationship with the French swimmer Laure Manaudou and later with the Italian swimmer Federica Pellegrini . He lives and trains in Turin .
