Lucia Medzihradská (born November 14, 1968 in Brezno ) is a former Czechoslovak and Slovak ski racer . She drove in all disciplines and was particularly successful in combinations .

biography

Internationally, Medzihradská made his first appearance at the 1986 Junior World Championship in Bad Kleinkirchheim . There she won the gold medal in the giant slalom and in the combined as well as the silver medal in the slalom . She won her first World Cup points on January 4th, 1987 with 12th place in the Maribor slalom . At the 1987 World Championships in Crans-Montana , she came in 10th place in the combination, at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary she was sixth in the same discipline.

As a result, Medzihradská could not improve further. The best results in the World Cup are two fifth places, each in combination scores. The only top ten classification in an individual race was achieved in 1991 with 7th place in the downhill from Méribel . At the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville , she finished 8th in the combination. In the 1994/95 season she ended her sports career.

Medzihradská studied cultural theory at the Comenius University in Bratislava and then emigrated to Australia . She now lives in Melbourne , where she works as a graphic designer.
