Lucia Mureşan (born January 31, 1938 in Cluj ; † July 11, 2010 there ) was a Romanian actress .

Life

Lucia Mureșan, daughter of a lawyer and an art teacher , completed an acting training in Bucharest at the National University of Theater and Film Arts "Ion Luca Caragiale" with Irina Răchițeanu-Șirianu . She made her debut as an actress at the newly founded theater of Piatra Neamț . In 1958 she got an engagement at the National Theater Cluj (Teatrul Național din Cluj), where she played the role of Domnica Radu in Secunda '58 by Dorel Dorian , Ophelia in Hamlet and the title role in Undine . A year later she was hired by the writer and then theater director Horia Lovinescu , who at the time was putting together an ensemble of young Romanian theater actors, at the Teatrul "Constantin Nottara" in Bucharest.

Mureșan played over 100 theater roles in the course of her stage career, including Polyxena and later Hecuba by Euripides , Desdemona in Othello , Sonja in Uncle Vanja , Anna in Night Asylum , Ranjewskaja in Der Kirschgarten , Angustias in Bernarda Alba's house and the Julia in sensitive balance of Edward Albee . She also played in numerous plays by Romanian authors such as Lucian Blaga , Horia Lovinescu and Garabet Ibrăileanu .

From 1958 Mureșan also worked for Romanian television. She gained notoriety in particular with her "deep and velvety voice" as the speaker of numerous documentaries and television documentaries for the television series Teleenciclopedia , a science, art and culture program. She has also worked in numerous theater productions for the Romanian Radio ( Teatrul National Radiofonic ). Mureșan also played in some cinema and television films , where she was mostly cast in concise supporting roles. She played in the drama Divorț ... din dragoste by Andrei Blaier , in the drama Tot unter Lebenden by Raoul Ruiz , in the political thriller Raport despre starea națiunii , by Ioan Cărmăzan and in the television films Natures mortes and Bis dass der Tod uns part . In 2005, she played the role of a doctor in the short film Still Center by Carina Tautu .

Mureşan who, with her dissertation Rolul cuvântului în realizarea imaginii scenice - orice glass Asculta glass to the doctor of philosophy doctorate, worked from 1963 as a drama teacher and as a university lecturer at Institutul de Artă Teatrală şi Cinematográfica. From 1992 she taught at the Universitatea Hyperion in Bucharest in the subjects of drama (Arta actorului) , scenic representation (Vorbire scenică) and role analysis ( Analiza procesului scenic ). From 1996 to 2002 she taught at the Universitatea Ecologică in Bucharest; in 1997 she was dean of the art department (Facultății de Arte) there. In 2002 she became a professor and dean of the theater department (Facultății de Teatru) of the University of Spiru Haret (Universitatea Spiru Haret) . At the beginning of June 2010, Mureșan withdrew from her offices and returned to her hometown of Cluj.

In 2002 she was made an honorary citizen of Sebeş . From 1960 Mureșan was married to the Romanian children's book author and photographer Ion Miclea (1931–2000), one of the most famous and several times, including two times the World Press Photo Award , excellent photographer in Romania.
