Ludwig Götting (born December 1, 1854 in Hildesheim ; † August 28, 1920 there ) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Götting was the son of the mayor and member of the state parliament, Karl Götting, and attended the Andreanum grammar school in Hildesheim and the universities of Heidelberg , Erlangen and Göttingen . During his studies in 1873 he became a member of the Allemannia Heidelberg fraternity and the Germania Erlangen fraternity . In 1877 he became a trainee lawyer and in 1881 a lawyer in Hildesheim. From 1890 to 1910 he was city counsel for the city council in Hildesheim and from 1890 to 1911 a member of the Hildesheim district committee. From 1906 he was managing director of the German savings bank association. He was also a member of the overall committee of the Prussian Central Cooperative Bank, captain of the Landwehr and deputy chairman of the Hanover savings bank association. He published the following writings: Hildesheim at the time of the Hansa , business transactions of the savings banks according to German civil law and forms for savings banks . He was awarded the Order of the Red Eagle, IV class .

From 1912 to 1918 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Province of Hanover 13 ( Goslar , Zellerfeld , Ilfeld ) and the National Liberal Party .
