Ludwig Riedesel Freiherr zu Eisenbach (born December 22, 1846 in Lauterbach (Hesse) ; † October 19, 1924 there ) was a German nobleman and hereditary marshal in Hesse.

Life

Ludwig Riedesel studied law at the Hessian Ludwig University and the Georg-August University in Göttingen . He became a member of the Corps Starkenburgia and the Corps Saxonia Göttingen . He finished his studies with the graduation to the Dr. iur. from. As a senior member of the family, after the death of Georg Riedesel zu Eisenbach (Hereditary Marshal, 1845), he inherited the office and title of Hessian Hereditary Marshal and the rank of lord of rank for the former rule of Riedesel . As a registrar he was automatically a member of the first chamber of the estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse . He was a member of the Chamber from 1878 to 1918. From 1898 to 1918 he was also a member of the Prussian manor house .

With the proclamation of the republic in Germany , the privileges of the nobility in Germany ended, and both the office of the Hessian hereditary marshal and the Hessian and Prussian first chambers ended.

Ludwig Riedesel zu Eisenbach was the son of Ludwig Riedesel zu Eisenbach (1806-1858) and his wife Wilhelmine nee. Countess of Otting-Fünfstetten (1811–1894). Wilhelm Riedesel zu Eisenbach was his brother.
