Ludwig von Eberstein (diplomat)
Count Ludwig von Eberstein (* 1527 ; † March 25, 1590 ) was an imperial diplomat, later a representative of the Pomeranian estates and ducal Pomeranian council.

Count Ludwig von Eberstein was the son of Count Georg von Everstein (1481–1553) and the Walpurgis Countess Schlick (1500–1575). He married Countess Anna von Mansfeld († 1583) in 1564 , with whom he had nine children. Stephan Heinrich von Eberstein was his brother.
Career
As early as 1534, von Eberstein received the Dompropstei of the Cammin monastery , which he held until 1586. After a thorough education, he entered the diplomatic service of Emperor Ferdinand I in 1556 , but because of the divergence in faith he moved to the court of Elector August of Saxony . Upon his return to his Pomeranian Erbgüter to Pomerania he renounced in 1559 to gave him the deanery of Kolberg . From 1560 to 1573 he was in the service of Dukes Philip I and Barnim IX. from Pomerania . He represented the interests of the Pomeranian estates and was a Pomeranian envoy to the Grumbach trade . After economic problems on his property, he moved to the camp of Duke Johann Friedrich von Pomerania and was able to reorganize himself despite the subsequent failure of his policy against the estates, but died a little later.
