Luigi Calce (born January 23, 1974 in North York , Ontario ) is a former Canadian ice hockey player with German nationality, who has played for the Heilbronner Falken in the 2nd Bundesliga as well as the Ratinger Ice Aliens , Dresden Ice Lions and Mosquitoes Eating was active.

Player career

The 1.78 m tall striker first played in the Canadian top junior league OHL , but then moved to the lower tier Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League for the Burlington Cougars. For the 1995/96 season, the left-handed shooter signed a contract in Europe, where he stood for a season for HC Alleghe from the Italian Serie A and then joined the German third division club EC Adendorf . Via the ERSC Amberg and the Eintracht Braunschweig ice hockey team , the attacker got to the league club Ratinger Ice Aliens , for whom he played for three seasons. Subsequently, Calce spent two years with the league competitor Dresdner Eislöwen and then moved to the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga with the Moskitos Essen . The Canadian has been on the ice for the Heilbronner Falken since the 2006/07 season , with whom he returned to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2007 as a league champion. In addition, Luigi Calce was chosen by the fans of the Falcons in the 2007/08 and 2008/09 seasons as the team's “Player of the Season”.

In 2013 Calce ended his playing career.
