Luis del Sol Cascajares (born April 6, 1935 in Arcos de Jalón , Soria Province ) is a former Spanish football player .

Athletic career

Luis del Sol began his career with Betis Sevilla in 1954 . In 1960 he moved to Real Madrid for two years ; With this team, the midfielder won the European Cup and later the World Cup in the final against Eintracht Frankfurt (7: 3) in the same year . In the 1960/61 and 1961/62 seasons he won the Spanish championship .

In 1962 Del Sol moved to Juventus Turin . Here he won the Coppa Italia in 1965 and the Italian championship two years later . In 1970, the Spaniard was hired again for two years at AS Roma before ending his career at Betis Sevilla in 1973.

With the Spanish national team , Del Sol won the European Football Championship in 1964 . With the Spaniards he took part in the soccer world championships in 1962 and 1966. He scored three goals in 16 international matches.
