Luis Sáinz Hinojosa

Luis Sáinz Hinojosa OFM (born June 21, 1936 in Tiquipaya ) is a Bolivian clergyman and auxiliary archbishop ad personam in Cochabamba .

Life

Luis Sáinz Hinojosa joined the Congregation of the Franciscan at and received on 26 August 1962, the priestly ordination .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Cochabamba and titular bishop of Thucca Terebenthina on May 8, 1982 . He was ordained bishop by the Apostolic Nuncio in Bolivia , Alfio Rapisarda , on July 31 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Gennaro Maria Prata Vuolo SDB , Archbishop of Cochabamba, and Luis Aníbal Rodríguez Pardo , Archbishop of Santa Cruz de la Sierra .

On February 24, 1987, he was appointed Archbishop of La Paz. He resigned from this office on July 31, 1996. On September 12, 2001 he was appointed auxiliary bishop in Cochabamba and titular archbishop pro hac vice of Inuca in Mauretania .
