The Luisenkopf is a 3207 m above sea level. A. high mountain peaks of the Glockner group . It was first climbed on September 6, 1853 by A. Bauernfeind and A. Payr crossing north-south.
location
The Luisenkopf is a subordinate elevation on the Luisengrat , the outlet of the Stüdlgrat (south-west ridge of the Großglockner). It is located on the Glocknerkamm in the south of the Glockner group in the core zone of the Hohe Tauern National Park and in the municipality of Kals am Großglockner . The Luisenkopf lies between the "Schere" ( 3037 m above sea level ) in the south and the Luisenscharte ( 3175 m above sea level ) in the north, with the Luisenscharte separating the Luisenkopf from the Großglockner located to the north . To the west of the Luisenkopf is the Teischnitzkees , which separates the Luisenkopf from the Gramul . The Ködnitzkees extends east to the Blue Heads . The Stüdlhütte is located in the south , the closest valleys are the Teischnitzbach valley in the southwest and the Ködnitzbach valley in the southeast .
Promotion opportunities
The normal route to the Luisenkopf leads from the Stüdlhütte to the "Schere" and then on the Luisengrat with easy climbing to the summit ( I ). As an alternative, in good conditions, there is an easier ascent by a short ascent of the Teischnitzkees and the final ascent over the rubble-laden western flank.
