The Gramul is a 3276  m above sea level. A. high mountain peaks of the Glockner group in East Tyrol .

location

The Gramul is located in the Glocknerkamm in the south of the Glockner group in the core zone of the Hohe Tauern National Park in the northeast of the municipality of Kals am Großglockner or the Lienz district. The Gramul is a cliff between the Teischnitzkees in the east and the Fruschnitzkees in the west, which meet north of the Gramul on the Gramulsattel ( 3219  m above sea level ). The southwest ridge of the Gramul leads to the Gamsspitze or Gamskopf ( 3157  m above sea level ), on the southern slope lies the rubble ridge of the Luckenkogel ( 3025  m above sea level ), northeast of the Großglockner .

Promotion opportunities

The normal route to the Gramul starts at the Stüdlhütte . From here you first ascend to the north and cross the Teischnitzkees west of the Schere . The ascent leads over the glacier to the Gramulsattel, from where you then follow the easy north ridge to the highest point ( easy ). The mountain summit was first descended on August 27, 1868 by Johann Stüdl , Th. Groder and P. Groder. Johann Stüdl and M. Groder and A. Kerer undertook the first ascent via the south-east ascent described above just two days later.

The Gramul can also be reached ice-free from the bottom of the Teischnitz Valley. Due to the arduous ascent, the Gramul is usually climbed over the Teischnitzkees.
