Luiz Gustavo , with full name Luiz Gustavo Tavares Conde (born February 12, 1994 in Valentim Gentil , São Paulo ), is a Brazilian football player who also has Italian citizenship.

Career

Born in the small town of Valentim Gentil in the state of São Paulo , Luiz Gustavo, who can be used as a center-back, full-back or in defensive midfield, began his professional career in the youth of Palmeiras São Paulo . In 2008, at the age of 14, he completed a trial training at Arsenal FC . Luiz Gustavo was allowed to a. complete some units with Arsène Wenger's first team , but did not stay in England for a long time due to homesickness and a lack of English skills .

In July 2012, Luiz Gustavo was first used in the first team under the coach Luiz Felipe Scolari . He and his team won the Copa do Brasil shortly afterwards , but had to be relegated from the Série A at the end of the 2012 season , in which he made two more appearances .

After Luiz Gustavo was not used after relegation to the Série B in the 2013 season, he switched to the first division club EC Vitória on loan at the end of September 2013 . By the end of the 2013 season he came to eleven inserts in the Série A. In the 2014 season, relegated in the Vitória, Luiz Gustavo came to 23 inserts in the Série A, in which he scored his first goal. There were also seven missions (two hits) in the state championship of Bahia . In the 2015 season, Luiz Gustavo only had four appearances in Série B (no goal).

In the first few months of 2016, Luiz Gustavo played on loan at Ferroviária and made two appearances (no goal) in the São Paulo state championship . He then moved to Avaí FC until the end of the 2016 season , for which he made eight appearances in Série B and rose to Série A with second place.

From mid to late January 2017, Luiz Gustavo took part in the training of the German second division club TSV 1860 Munich . However, there was no obligation. His contract with Palmeiras ran until the end of October 2017. Since the end of February 2017, Luiz Gustavo has been on loan at Oeste FC , for which he made seven appearances in Series B and eleven appearances in the São Paulo state championship .

At the beginning of January 2018, Luiz Gustavo switched to CR Vasco da Gama , with whom he received a one-year contract.
