Luka Jarčov (born November 6, 1996 in Zagreb ) is a Croatian ice hockey player who has been playing again at the KHL Zagreb in the International Hockey League since 2018 .

Career

Luka Jarčov began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown at KHL Zagreb , for which he made his debut in the Croatian league in the 2012/13 season . Since 2015 he has played with his team in the neighboring Slovenian league . In addition to his assignments in the men's area, he also played for the city neighbor KHL Medveščak Zagreb in the Austrian U20 league. In the 2017/18 season he played for Medveščak and competed with the club in the Austrian ice hockey league . At the same time, he continued to play games for the club's second team. Before the play-offs in 2018 he returned to the KHL Zagreb.

In December 2018 he was temporarily loaned to Medveščak Zagreb, but ended the season again at KHL Zagreb.

International

For Croatia Jarčov took part in the junior division II tournaments of the U18 World Championships in 2013 and 2014 and the U20 World Championships in 2014 , 2015 , when he was the top scorer (together with his compatriot Ivan Janković ) and top scorer (together with Janković and the Spaniard Oriol Rubio ) was also voted the best striker of the tournament and the best player on his team, and in 2016 , when he was again named best player of his team.

In the senior sector, he was in the squad of the Croatian national team for the first time in February 2016 when qualifying for the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang . In the same year he was also used in Division I at the 2016 World Cup . There he also played at the World Championships in 2017 and 2018 .
