Lukas Nathrath

Lukas Nathrath (born November 14, 1990 in Munich ) is a German filmmaker and actor .

Life

Nathrath graduated from high school in Munich in 2010. In 2011 and 2012 he attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art . There he played in various productions, such as B. King Lear and Richard III.

In autumn 2016 he began his master's degree in film directing at the Hamburg Media School , the state film academy in Hamburg. With his second semester film Mit im Bund , he was invited to German Films' next generation program at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival . His graduation film Kippa was awarded the European Young CIVIS Media Prize in 2019 as well as the Studio Hamburg Young Talent Award for best short film.
