Lundeborg is a small port town with a population of 433 (as of January 1, 2020) on the east coast of the Danish island of Fyn ( German Funen ).
history
Originally Lundeborg belonged to the parish community ( Danish Sogn ) Oure Sogn , within which a church district Lundeborg Kirkedistrikt was created, which became the independent Sogn Lundeborg Sogn with the abolition of the Danish church districts on October 1, 2010 . It belongs to Svendborg Municipality in the Syddanmark region . Until 1970 Oure Sogn belonged to the Harde Gudme Herred in the Svendborg Office , then to the Gudme Municipality in the Fyns Office , which became part of the Svendborg Municipality on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .
Infrastructure
Lundeborg has a fishing port and a marina . There used to be a ferry to Lohals on Langeland , the pier of which can still be seen. Due to the suspension of the ferry service, the route from Lundeborg to Lohals via Svendborg , Svendborgsundbroen , Tåsinge , Siødæmningen , Langelandsbroen and Rudkøbing is now 65 km.
The landmark of the place is the packing house at the harbor from 1863, which is under monument protection.
