The Lysý vrch (Polish Łysa Góra , also Graniczny Wierch , German Kahleberg , formerly also Hochwald ) is a mountain in the southwest of the Jizera Mountains . It is located six kilometers northeast of Chrastava in the border area between the Czech Republic and Poland .
geography
The Lysý vrch is located in the southwestern foothills of the Jizera Mountains at the transition to the Zittau basin . It is located on Czech territory at the southeasternmost end of the Bogatyniaer tip. The state border with Poland runs from the north to below the summit and then runs west to the Gickelsberg . To the south lie the Kameniště ( Steinberg , 608 m) and the Spálený vrch ( Brandberg , 581 m), to the west the Kančí vrch ( Schwarzberg , 680 m). The Jasný potok rises to the west and the Luční potok to the east.
The settlement of Vysoký lies on the eastern slope of the mountain . The surrounding villages are Markocice and Heřmanice in the north, Kristiánov and Dětřichov in the northeast, Albrechtice u Frýdlantu in the east, Filipov and Mlýnice in the southeast, Nová Ves and Růžek in the south, Horní Vítkov in the southwest, Jasna Góra in the west and Bogatynia in the west.

On the eastern slope of the Kahleberg there was a Dutch windmill built by Eduard Zückler since 1830 . It was destroyed by the Prussians in the German War in 1866 and never rebuilt. In 1897, the 13-high and 9.3-m-thick mill stump was raised to 20 m by Adolf Zückler for tourist purposes and converted into an observation tower. At the same time an inn was built next to it. After the Second World War, the village of Vysoký, which had previously lived mainly from the booze , died out.
At the beginning of the 21st century, a wind farm consisting of eleven wind turbines was built on the mountain. It consists of six "Tacke TW 500" turbines with an output of 525 kW, a height of 58 m and a rotor diameter of 36 m. Five “Konotech” wind turbines were added later.
