Márkó Futács (born February 22, 1990 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian football player .
Club career
Futács comes from the junior division of the lower class VIII. Kerületi VSC from the 8th district of Budapest . From this he moved early to the IX. District to Ferencváros Budapest . In 2006 he went to France , in the youth department of AS Nancy . At the beginning of February 2009, the attacker moved to the German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen .
Futács made his professional league debut on March 6, 2010 in a third division game with Werder Bremen II against Kickers Offenbach. Due to EU guidelines on the free movement of workers , he had to wait a year for his game permit for the second team from Werder Bremen.
On July 23, 2010 he was loaned to the second division club FC Ingolstadt 04 for one season. In his first second division game for Ingolstadt, he scored his first goal in the 1: 4 defeat against FC Augsburg .
When he returned to Werder for the 2011/12 season, he had no regular place and was not used, so he moved to the English second division FC Portsmouth shortly before the transfer window closed . The Hungarian made his debut on September 10, 2011, when he replaced Benjamin Mwaruwari in the 83rd minute of the away game against West Ham United , but could no longer prevent the narrow 4: 3 defeat.
After the relegation of Portsmouth FC in the summer of 2012, he moved to the second division Leicester City on a free transfer , where he signed a three-year contract until the end of June 2015.
In the summer of 2013 he left England and returned to Diósgyőri VTK in Hungary .
For the 2014/15 season, Futács moved to the Turkish Süper Lig for promoted Mersin İdman Yurdu .
In summer 2016 he moved to the Croatian first division club HNK Hajduk Split .
National team
With the Hungarian U20 national team , Futács took part in the 2009 World Cup, where he scored the 2-1 in the semi-final defeat against Ghana . In the game for third place, which Hungary won on penalties against Costa Rica , Futács had to be replaced injured in the first half.
In March 2014 he made his debut for the Hungarian national team .
