The Mäßchen was a volume and grain measure in Germany. It can easily be confused with similar dimensions. These include measures such as Mäßchen as a middle name for the Dutch Maatje / Mate or Mäschen for the Bavarian Mäßel / Mäßl or Mäßli as the Swiss grain measure.
