The Mölcherbach is an approximately 6.5 km long, northern ( orographically left ) tributary of the Eder , in the east of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district .

course

The stream rises north of Königshagen , in the Old Forest (natural area 340.14), part of the natural area Waldecker Wald (340.1), northwest of the 432 m high Netzer Berg , in a small forest valley between the Sandköppel in the west and the Mäuse-Berg in the east, at about 370  m above sea level. NHN . It first flows about 1.3 km to the south, then 600 m to the southeast, turns to the southwest and flows for about 300 m in length east past the outskirts of Königshagen.

Then it runs again about 500 m to the south-southeast, takes up a small stream coming from the northeast between the Königsberg and the Mühlenberg, turns again to the south-south-west and then flows in leisurely meandering curves about 3 km to the south-south-west or south, always west at one Along the edge of the forest. In doing so, it flows around the west foot of the 318 m Hoheberg in a large left curve, first to the south and then to the east. On its southern slope, the stream passes the former Grundmühle ( 244  m ) and then turns back to the south. About 700 m south of the Grundmühle, the stream passes the former Hepemühle ( 220  m ), where a mill ditch that begins about 400 m further north joins the stream again.

Finally, after another 400 m east of Bergheim , the Mölcherbach bends to the southwest and after another 800 m flows into the Wegaer Ederaue (natural area 341.51), part of the Wildunger depression (341.5), immediately south of Bergheim after crossing the state road 3383 (Wellener Road) at about 185  m above sea level. NHN in the Eder.
