The Mühlenbach is a left tributary of the Nette in the Lower Rhine district of Viersen .

The Mühlenbach has its sources Am Mühlenbach, in the district of Börholz, in the municipality of Brüggen . The creek with a length of 5.6 km flows in a north-easterly direction and serves not only to drain the spring water, but also to drain the surface and protect against flooding when ice and snow melt. It flows through the districts of Bruckrath, Furth, Pieper and Speck and then turns north to Berg and Metgesheide. The water flows through Breyell, crosses under the railway line and the federal highway 61 and joins the Nattergraben near the Quellenensee. From there, the brook runs in the Ferkesbruch along the lakeside path and then flows into the Nette near the fish ladder to the Ferkensbruch.

The care and maintenance of the water is the responsibility of the Netteverband, which is based in Nettetal .
