The Mühlriegel is a mountain in the Bavarian Forest . He is 1080 m above sea level. NHN high and rises as the westernmost peak of the elongated Arber ridge, which extends over to the Großer Arber .
On the rocky summit there is a shelter hut and a large summit cross , the view extends from the Kaitersberg over the Zellertal with the striking village of Arnbruck to the Großer Arber. Various hiking trails lead to the Mühlriegel, including the E6 long-distance hiking trail , which comes from the Großer Riedelstein over the Ecker Sattel and always follows the ridge to the Arber. Another ascent begins in Arnbruck, whose local mountain is the Mühlriegel.
The summit of the Mühlriegel lies on the municipal boundary between Arrach and Arnbruck , i.e. also on the border between the districts of Cham in the Upper Palatinate and Regen in Lower Bavaria .
