action

Starting position

Benito and Miguel are two comrade friends who are doing their military service in Melilla . They do heavy work in construction. Benito's dumb buddy Mosca is there. Benito dreams of becoming a building contractor and owning his own lobster pool . The fact that Miguel is suddenly with Rita makes him angry. In a beach bar he notices the budding actress Claudia, who is dancing lasciviously on the table; he likes her bum.

Further course

Benito offers Claudia to be his secretary and they bang together. Although he first asked her to belong exclusively to him, he asked her to sleep with an elderly banker so that he could get a loan from him for his first construction project. But she does not succeed in convincing the banker. For this she has the idea that Benito could marry his daughter Marta in order to get some money. After the marriage, he lived out his fondness for Rolex watches and Schlager from Julio Iglesias . Rita appears at the construction site where Benito is building the tallest building in the city. She and Miguel have financial problems and she asks him for money. He asked her to surrender to him on the roof terrace of the building, and from then on employed Miguel on the construction site. During his visit to Claudia, she complains angrily that he feeds her with flowers and that he rarely appears. She admits to hang out with Marta's father, the banker, and puts her bra in his vest. Marta, having grown suspicious, searches his jacket that night, finds the strange bra and reproaches him. Benito then takes Claudia to his villa, puts her in bed with Marta, who is sleeping, and asks her to be tender with his wife. Martha wakes up. After a violent argument, he leaves the room and the two women who suffer from the same man become friends. Benito comes back to the two of them and they have a threesome . He expresses his philosophy: “I have two eggs, so I have two gold Rolexes. I have two of all things. "

After a party at which Claudia is hanging out with another guy, Benito drives her home, furious with jealousy, and is responsible for an accident in which she is killed. Marta takes care of the crippled Benito and expresses her love for him. He soon recovered physically, but a partner withdraws from the construction project and Marta's father is ruined. Benito is only left with his friend Mosca, who falls into a power line on the construction site and perishes. When Benito dragged the strip dancer Ana into the villa for sex games, Marta separated from him. He moves to the United States with Ana, where they spend a few dreary months. She pays his gardener Bob to do what Benito is no longer able to do for her. After Benito becomes aware of this, she lets both men take her at the same time. Benito ends up crying and desperate.

criticism

After Macho had received a special award at the San Sebastián film festival , the film-dienst asked : “How bad does a Spanish film have to be in order not to win a prize in San Sebastian?” The film offers no satire, but “plenty of meat inspection ( which has little to do with eroticism) and a horrible image of women the day before yesterday ”.
