Maddie Hasson (* 4. January 1995 in New Bern , North Carolina as Madelaine Hasson ) is an American actress .

life and career

Maddie Hasson was born in January 1995 in New Bern , a small town in North Carolina , USA , to Catherine and Michael Hasson, an oral surgeon. She grew up with her older sister in Wilmington and attended Cape Fear Academy there. In Wilmington, she competed with Wilmington's Fox Troupe Dancers for eight years and began her acting career at local theaters in plays such as Gray Gardens and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas . For her first auditions , she moved to Los Angeles with her mother and finished her high school there via online courses. She applied for a role on The CW aired series The Secret Circle , but was not hired. Shortly thereafter, she was in the summer of 2011 for the Bones - offshoot Finder The cast. In the short-lived series, she played the role of Willa Monday , a Roma who helps Walter Sherman ( Geoff Stults ) with his investigation.

She previously played a small role in Bobcat Goldthwait's black comedy God Bless America . In 2012 she took on a guest role in the third episode of the second season of Grimm and received her first leading role in the ABC Family - Mystery - youth series Twisted . There she played the role of Jo Masterson alongside Avan Jogia and Kylie Bunbury .
