Madeleine Martin (born April 15, 1993 in New York City ) is an American actress , singer and voice actress .

Life

Madeleine Martin began her acting career at the age of seven with a role alongside Richard Chamberlain in a revival of the musical The Sound of Music on Broadway in New York . In 2003 she played the lead role in a new version of the play A Day In The Death Of Joe Egg by Peter Nichols and presented in the same year as the youngest presenter of all time the Tony Awards . She had her first television role in an episode of Law & Order that same year and has since appeared more frequently as a guest star in American series. As a spokesperson, she took on the role of the main character in the cartoon series Jojos Zirkus from 2003 to 2006 . In 2005 Martin starred in Martin McDonagh's play The Pillowman . She made her film debut in 2006 when she took over a few voices in the English version of the animated film Ice Age 2 . In 2007 and 2008, Martin starred with two different casts in Tracy Letts ' play August: Osage County and won the National Youth Theater Award for Best Supporting Actress. From 2007 to 2014 she was in Los Angeles for the television series Californication in front of the camera. Madeleine Martin attended the School of American Ballet in New York and made several appearances with the New York City Ballet . However, she had to quit her dance training due to the frequent filming outside of New York. In the second season of the Netflix series Hemlock Grove , she replaces Nicole Boivin as Shelley Godfrey , who held that role in the first season.
