Magellan Aerospace Corporation is a Canadian company that designs and manufactures components for the aerospace industry. The company's headquarters are in Mississauga in the Canadian province of Ontario . The company is divided into two business areas: one includes aircraft engines and aerodynamics, the other includes space products, i.e. H. Rockets , satellites and other space components. The company's customers include the military, aircraft manufacturers, engine manufacturers, space agencies and other research institutions.
history
Magellan was founded in 1996 through the merger of several companies. They developed and built components for aircraft and special components for the Canadian military as well as for various airlines and other aviation companies. As a result of the expansion, Magellan bought several other companies, including Orenda Engines (now Magellan Repair, responsible for repairs and overhauls) based in Toronto . Other companies that were acquired: Bristol Aerospace , Chicopee Manufacturing and Haley Industries . There were also some companies from the USA: Middleton Aerospace and Aeronca . A few years ago the British company Mayflower Aerospace was acquired .
