Maike Mia Höhne
Maike Mia Höhne (also Maike Höhne ; * 1971 in Hanover ) is a German film director and film curator .
Life
Maike Mia Höhne studied visual communication from 1994 to 1999 at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts , at the Escuela de Bellas Artes in Havana and the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión in San Antonio de los Baños , Cuba . After working in Buenos Aires , she completed a postgraduate course with a focus on film at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts .
Since 2001 she has worked as a freelance writer, lecturer, curator, producer, photographer and director. She produced several contributions for the short film magazine Kurzschluss from arte . Your films are distributed by arsenal experimental and the Hamburg short film agency. She also holds seminars, including a. at the Hamburg Media School or the Münchner Filmwerkstatt . In 2016 her first feature film 3/4 was shown in the cinema.
From 2007 to 2019 she was curator and head of the short film section Berlinale Shorts at the Berlinale. In March 2019 she took over the artistic direction of the International Short Film Festival Hamburg .
Maike Mia Höhne lives with her husband and two children in Hamburg.
