Maino (born August 30, 1973 , actually Jermaine John Coleman ) is an American rapper from Brooklyn .

biography

Jermaine Coleman grew up in poor conditions in Brooklyn, New York. He was found guilty of kidnapping in the mid-1990s and sentenced to 10 years in prison. During his imprisonment he practiced more and more of his rap skills in order to use them as a way out of crime.

After he was released from prison in 2003, he made contacts with numerous established people such as Lil 'Kim and made a name for himself in the New York rap scene. After several mixtapes , he was signed to Universal Music in 2007 . The following year he released his debut single Hi Hater , and in 2009 his debut album If Tomorrow Comes . His most successful single, All The Above , was awarded platinum by the RIAA .
