Maja Matevžič (born June 13, 1980 in Ljubljana ) is a former Slovenian tennis player .

Career

Matevžič, who according to the ITF preferred to play on grass pitches, began playing tennis at the age of ten. In her career she won one WTA tournament in singles and two WTA titles in doubles, as well as four singles and five doubles on the ITF Circuit.

As a member of the Olympic team, Matevžič played for Slovenia at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens .
