Makuru Furuhashi ( Japanese 古橋 真 来 , Furuhashi Makuru ; born September 30, 1993 in Nikkō , Japan ) is a Japanese ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Nikkō IceBucks from the Asia League Ice Hockey since 2016 .
Career
Makuru Furuhashi began playing ice hockey with Nikkō Meiho, where he played in the Japan Ice Hockey League as an 18-year-old . During his studies he played for the team at Chūō University . Since 2016 he has been playing with the Nikkō IceBucks in the Asia League Ice Hockey .
International
For Japan, Furuhashi took part in the junior division at the 2012 U20 World Championships , when he was voted the best player of his team, in the Division I and 2013 U20 World Championship , where he was the second best preparer behind the Dutchman Tony Ras and the best plus / minus - The tournament's record showed participating in Division II. He also represented his colors at the IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia 2012 , where the Japanese won the silver medal behind the Russian MHL Red Stars , to which Furuhashi made a significant contribution as the top scorer. He also took part in the 2013 Winter Universiades in Trentino and 2015 in Granada.
He played for the Japanese men's team for the first time at the Winter Asian Games 2017 , when he and his team won the bronze medal behind Kazakhstan and South Korea . In the same year he also took part in the Division I World Championship . Also in 2018 , when he had the best plus / minus balance of the tournament, he played in Division I.
Private
His father is the actor Katsunobu Itō . Furuhashi studied at Chūō University .
