Mallika Sherawat ( Hindi : मल्लिका शेरावत ; born October 24, 1976 in Rohtak , Haryana as Reema Lambha ) is an Indian actress .

Life

Mallika Sherawat attended the Delhi Public School in New Delhi . She received her degree in philosophy at the College Miranda House at the University of Delhi .

Sherawat made her film debut in 2002 in the Bollywood strip Jeena Sirf Merre Liye . In 2004 she played - in addition Kashmira Shah - in Drama - Thriller Murder the main role of Simran Saigal . In the Chinese action film Der Mythos (2005) she played the role of the Indian princess Samantha , alongside Jackie Chan and Kim Hee-sun . In the Bollywood film Guru (2007) she played - alongside Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai - the role of Jhumpa .

Sherawat was the first Bollywood actress to receive honorary citizenship of the city of Los Angeles on August 14, 2009 - for her acting and charitable efforts .
