Painted Petzel
Malte Petzel (born April 9, 1930 in Stettin , † December 18, 1972 in Dortmund ) was a German actor , director and radio play speaker .
Life
Petzel already appeared as an actor at the age of 17 in the Coburg cultural area and staged musical evenings before he was accepted for the final exam in 1952 by the Cooperative of German Stage Members and the German Stage Association. Until 1956 he was a member of the ensemble of the Coburg State Theater. Other stages were Bamberg and the Vaganten-Bühne in Berlin, for which he also worked as a director and gave guest performances in East Berlin. In 1961 he went to the Berlin Schillertheater as assistant director to Boleslaw Barlog for three years . His last stage in the theater was the Dortmund City Theaters.
In addition, Petzel sporadically took on roles in film and television productions. He played in Georg Tressler's Endstation Liebe with Horst Buchholz , in the Grethe Weiser comedy Jenny and the Lord in Tails , in Guy Hamilton's war film Battle of Britain and in Egon Monk's multi-part series farmers, bigwigs and bombs based on Hans Fallada . In Georg Wilhelm Pabst's film production It Happened on July 20, he played Berthold Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg , the older brother of the Hitler assassin. In addition, he took on guest roles in television series such as Tatort , Das Kriminalgericht and Hamburg Transit .
In addition, Malte Petzel worked extensively as a speaker for radio play productions . In many productions of the radio play label EUROPA he mostly took on comical roles such as "Sir David Lindsay" Karl Mays .
Malte Petzel died of heart failure on December 18, 1972 at the age of 42 in Dortmund.
