Mana Endō ( Japanese 遠藤 愛 , Endō Mana ; born February 6, 1971 in Fukuyama , Hiroshima Prefecture ) is a former Japanese tennis player .

Career

Mana Endo has been playing tennis since she was seven. She began her professional career in 1991. In addition, she graduated from Tsukuba University in 1993 .

She achieved her best placings in the world rankings in 1994 with rank 26 in singles and in 1995 with rank 98 in doubles. On the WTA Tour she won her only title in 1994 in Hobart , where she eliminated Lindsay Davenport in the course of the tournament . In 1994 she reached the round of 16 at the US Open . It was her greatest success with a total of 22 participation in Grand Slam tournaments .

Between 1992 and 1995 she played five times for the Japanese Fed Cup team . Mana Endo said goodbye to professional tennis in 1998.
