Manfred Heine (actor)

Manfred Heine (born August 25, 1932 in Weimar ; † March 28, 2019 there ) was a German actor , director and educator .

Life

Heine had acting lessons from Lothar Müthel in Weimar. Stage activity took place in Potsdam , Rudolstadt , Neustrelitz , Meiningen , Zwickau and Erfurt . From 1966 he worked for three decades at the German National Theater in Weimar , where he also worked as an acting teacher. The director Walter Beck cast the character actor in his first films, including in fairy tale films such as King Drosselbart , The Prince behind the Seven Seas and The Bearskin .

Heine was married to the actress Helga Ziaja , who died in 2013 ; the couple left two daughters and one son.
