Manfred Perterer

Manfred Perterer (born August 7, 1960 in Fieberbrunn , Tyrol ) has been editor-in-chief of the daily newspaper Salzburger Nachrichten since 2006 .

Life

Manfred Perterer's journalistic career began as a 12-year-old writing match reports for the football club in his hometown of Fieberbrunn. After graduating from high school , Perterer founded the first free newspaper in Tyrol, the Pillersee Boten, in 1979 together with the entrepreneur Erwin Siorpaes and the journalist Helmut Bucher .

Perterer moved to Salzburg , studied journalism, political science and law for several semesters at the University of Salzburg and at the same time worked in the editorial department of the Salzburger Volkszeitung and from 1985 onwards for the Salzburger Nachrichten .

From 1988 onwards, Perterer was the newspaper's local manager, and from 1993 onwards, he was deputy editor-in-chief Karl Heinz Ritschel . In 2001 Perterer went to Brussels for five years as a correspondent for the Salzburger Nachrichten and reported on the EU and NATO .

On July 1, 2006, Manfred Perterer succeeded Ronald Barazon as editor-in-chief of the Salzburger Nachrichten .
